Contemporary Mediterranean
Complete transformation of a 1950s residence into a reimagined 5,000-square-foot contemporary Mediterranean home. The project involved fully reframing the structure, removing the existing roof, and raising the exterior walls to create greater interior volume, proportion, and light. A new slate roof, Santa Barbara sandstone masonry, copper gutters and flashings, and NanaWall systems throughout, including two 20-foot bifold openings, were central to the design. The existing pool was also reworked to incorporate a new integrated spa. The work required significant structural coordination and a high level of control in execution to carry the architectural vision through in both material detail and proportion.
